Zoella splash botanics range

I have been meaning to write this post ever since the splash botanics products launched! but i am FINALLY getting round to doing it!
i absolutely love all of the ranges Zoella brings out, she never disappoints me with what she brings out! but this range seemed to of caught my attention a lot more, first of all can we just appreciate the packing?! It is just insanely beautiful and its right up my street as I'm obsessed with the palm and monstera leaf prints at the moment! Botanical is very much in right now for summer! and i feel like this range just seems really adult like should i say?! it definitely has more of a grown up feel to it!

 The new range you get:

the botanic eau' body mist -This is sooo different to what she has ever released before but it definitely has a 'summer vibes' scent to it. Its very fresh and floral! its a great price too at just £8! and i love the bottle!

so soft lip oil- I'm really into my lip oils at the moment! and this one smells of cher…

Sanctuary spa wet skin moisture miracle review

I really like sanctuary products and when i saw this i was really intrigued as to how it would work. here in the UK we are currently having a rather long heatwave! which I'm not complaining about but i don't know about you guys, i love moisturising after my bath but in this heat you don't want to feel any type of stickiness once you have cooled down from a nice bath or shower! so this is when i thought i would give this a go its the wet skin moisture miracle it says on the front  'super quick and hard working body lotion that locks in twice the moisture, up to twice as fast. The easiest and quickest and most effective way to moisturise your body.'
i have  mine in the classic scent but i know there are 2 other scents to choose from, i just really like the classic scent.

How it works -  You basically do all your normal stuff in the bath or shower, and once you get out. you apply it whilst your soaking wet! i must admit it did feel sooo weird doing this at first! the c…

My favourite make up brushes

For someone like me who wears make up practically every day and who owns a fair few make up brushes i thought i would share my favourite brushes that i use, and what i use them for!
I do have quite the selection, and to be honest with you there are some that i never really pick up so i should pass them on to someone who would get more use out of them!
there are definitely  a fair few that i always pick up, and i do use a lot of them! mainly because i get lazy with washing my brushes, so i tend to go through most of them and then i tend to do a big batch wash.

I will start with the ones i own the most of, foundation brushes, i tend to use one for about a week then go onto a nice clean one until i am running pretty low on clean ones, thats when i tend to wash them! which i do actually enjoy doing! i would say one of the main keys to your make up is the application, the key to making it look good and flawless is to invest in some good quality make up brushes! the cheap ones tend to be …

Is primark makeup worth the hype?

Ive heard soo many good things about primark make up..yes you heard it right primark make up! that i had to test it myself! to be honest its not a make up line that i ever really thought much about or even looked at before. But i heard that they upped there game and brought out new ranges which were dupes of high end brands!
my primark beauty section isn't the biggest but they had a fair selection there and it seems over the past few months they have been getting more and more things in! i wanted to try all of  the foundations, one of which was a long wear one (i cant remember the exact name? as that one i particular is meant to be a dupe for estee lauder! they unfortunately didn't have my shade which was a real shame as i really wanted to try i but i didn't fancy walking around with a face that totally doesn't match my neck what so ever!.
Admittedly i did forget to pick up a bronzer and a contour set and a primer but i can test these at a later date. i was more inter…

my favourite products for a pamper evening

I love a good old pamper evening! from having a nice relaxing bubble bath with all my favourite bath products to a good face mask! you name it, if you call it a pamper evening you go all out! right? bath, hair, face, nails, blisssss! although i will be honest with you, i don't actually enjoy painting my nails but i do like it once they are done and are looking pretty!

So first thing is first BATH! literally my favourite thing ever. so we choose a nice bubble bath or a
bath bomb! but we are going for my bath and body works, a thousand wishes bubble bath and ohh myyy it smells insane and guess what?! the bubbles are insane too!
next up, a nice shower gel and yes! again a bath and body works one....I'm addicted to them they smell incredible and are so soft on the skin! if you live in the uk like i do and aren't lucky enough to have a bath and body works here i have a post about how to get hold of them right here in the uk yay! (if you want to check that out too)
I'm not …

My drug store forever repurchases

Sometimes we try a product that we fall in love straight away and that's it, of we go skipping off into the sun! but in the beauty world its not quite the case as there are sooo many products to test and try, with different formula's etc. so i would say normally, its pretty difficult to find ones that are spot on for us straight away!
but with beauty being a huge thing in the market these days  there are constant new releases that we are drawn to and have to try! even though you have a thousand blushers....you always want to try them even though you may not need them! get me?!

Having said all of that We all have them holy grail//life saver products that we buy over and over again because we know that they work best for us! and no matter how many other products we buy, try and may really like...we always manage to go back to our roots and go back to our favourite's!

i LOVE trying new products but i will never leave my little saviours behind. i like to mix up what i use b…

Revolution pro foundation drops review!

Testing Testing 123!
I have heard a lot of good things about the revolution pro foundations so obviously i had to try them out!

They are a drug store brand which are available in Superdrug and are extremely affordable!
i have tried quite a few revolution products and they haven't disappointed! makeup revolution seems to impress me more and more everyday! and the brand seems to be extending and adding more additions to the brand like the revolution pro range. So its only fair that i try the new range right?!

well they must be popular because in my superdrug they didn't have much stock in the pro full coverage camouflage foundation which is the one I'm desperate to try! (next time!)
so instead i went for the foundation drops in F5 which i should of probably gone for F4 but i can still work with F5 its just a teeny bit darker but i can still work with it so its fine!
I didn't actually realise but on the website it has details of the numbers and what skin tone it is fo…

my feb faves!

Its that time again, its my monthly favourites!!
nothing new on the make up front this month, but here are some of the things i have been loving in February!

MAC foundation brush 187- i have had this brush for quite some time but it managed to get lost with all my other brushes and never really picked it up! i think when i first used it, i couldn't get along with it but now....ohh my god i friggin love this brush! its really buffs and blends your foundation well into your skin making it look flawless- my new love!

mandara bath soak- my boyfriend got me this as one of my valentines gifts- its smells beautiful and its makes your skin really soft! its almost exactly like the soap and glory one! and its now all gone!

Champneys moisturiser-  Ive really been enjoying using this, this month, so much so that Ive used up the whole tub! its quite a thick moisturiser but really sinks in and it doesn't that leave that tacky feel, plus is smells divine.

bilou shower foam- a foaming showerge…

Rimmel lasting concealer - its a no from me

I am always on the look out for new make up to try and as i needed to get a new concealer i thought i would go with a different one instead of going for my trusty collection lasting perfection concealer! And i will be honest with you, i was in a local shop of mine which didn't stock many brands so it was more of an 'emergency buy'. I went for the Rimmel lasting finish 25hr breathable concealer in the shade 100 fair.
when i first picked it up the main thing that got me was the cushioned applicator, i was very intrigued!
so this concealer says its long lasting, breathable with medium coverage. and with the cushioned applicator it allows to blend the concealer perfectly and touch up on the go.

Trying it out- i had to really squeeze on the tube for any product to come out, and once it did i applied it under my eyes, i found the consistency very watery and didn't find that it blended in nicely at all, it goes quite streaky and i wouldn't even say it was a medium coverage…

january favourites

My January favourites, it might be a little late but I'm still going to post what i was loving in January :) i don't know about you but i think January flew by this year!

lip stick- this is one of my ultimate favourite Mac pink lipsticks! its in the shade peach blossom. Ive had invisaligns in for a year so normal lipstick was sometimes a little difficult to wear as it would manage to rub onto my retainer! but now they are off i have gone to back to it and I'm so happy about it! its been a favourite of mine for a long time!

Mascara- roller lash, the best mascara! i did have lashes for a long time but whilst I'm on a break Ive gone back to my trusty mascara! it grabs every single hair, lengthens them and gives them volume!

Too faced peach glow- Ive mentioned this in a previous post, definitely something i have been reaching out for a lot. its a contour, highlight and blush palette and it is just beautiful!

Perfume- now i have 2 favourites for jan, i couldn't decide o…

top 3 make up items ( that i can't live without!)

Following on from my top 3 beauty products that cant live with out! i thought i would do a make up one!
I found this one a little harder just picking 3 but when i really thought about what makes the most difference to me or what i wouldn't leave the house without having on- i found it easier ha ha!

lasting perfection concealer - so my first one would have to be concealer! the one brand that never lets me down is the collections lasting perfection concealer. No matter how much sleep i get i still seem to get dark circles under my eyes!  i have tried a few different brands and this is most definitely the best one i have found! dark circles- be gone!  it's a nice consistency and doesn't crease underneath the rest of your make up so its lasts. they cover any blemishes i have, so if you want that 'no make up look' on days where your not doing much but still want a little something on to make you look a little brighter then this concealer is perfect! Something that i rea…

3 beauty products i can't live without!

We all have certain beauty products that we cannot live without! and i for one have some holy grails that i absolutely swear by! my skincare regime is pretty simple really! i do add other products to my regime but these products are the ones that i never miss! I would say my skin is combination, i get some oily patches but also dry. but i would say its fairly normal!

these products, are my little gems that i have used for quite a few years now! i do try other products but i do tend to stick to these especially la roche posay as i find nothing else is as good! now i say my skin is pretty normal but last year it did go through a weird stage and that's when i knew that these were my definite saviours to sort my skin out! i think i was trying out a new face wash, i cant remember which one exactly it was but that was when i started to get a few problems with my skin- that's all i can think of that it was. i started getting a few spots under my jaw line, which ended up clusters on b…

my winter staples

I might be a little late to the party considering winter has been here for a while! but better late than never and it is still winter!
in the colder months there are certain beauty products that are my saviours that i use every single day in the winter.
I think its important to really look after your skin throughout the year, but definitely in the winter with the harsh cold weather on your skin can make it pretty dry. So keeping my skin soft and well moisturised is most definitely a MUST - who wants dry skin?!

Body cream- the one brand that never fails me are the bath and body works Shea creams, they are super moisturising, they leave your skin so soft and they smell amazing! and the fragrance really lingers. my favourite part about these besides the gorgeous scents are the fact they aren't sticky! i love a bath at night time and there is nothing worse then getting into bed feeling all tacky after moisturising! they soak into your skin really quickly, so you don't get that tac…

superdrug vitamin E cleanser- definitely worth a try!

I've been on the hunt for a drugstore brand cleanser to try and after having a little mooch in the shops i came across the vitamin E range from superdrug! i have heard a few good things about other products from this range but i wanted to give the cleansers a go. considering i love an oil and a hot cloth cleanser- i thought why not?!
I'm normally a high end brand girl when it comes to cleansing,  but i wanted to see if there were other products out on the market that were similar! i know that not everyone likes to spend alot of money on skincare, so i thought i would trial and test these and i must say...they didn't disappoint!

Not only are they lovely products but they are extremely affordable! if you tried this range, and not realising how much they cost, i think you would be extremely shocked and surprised! the cleansing oil is only £2.99 and the hot cloth cleanser is £4.99- bargains if i say so myself!  Even if you are on the strictest of budgets you can afford g…

inika light reflect cream (highlight) review!

what is the brand inika? Inika  are a certified organic, 100 % natural, mineral, botanical, vegan, cruelty- free, non-toxic makeup brand. they do all ranges of makeup for those who love all of the natural products! which i think is great for those who love the natural brands.

The product i want to talk about it is the light reflecting cream which is used to enhance and brighten your features, for example; your cheekbones or brow and eye area!

I got this little gem in my feel unique 12 day advent calendar! which a friend got me as a gift :)  I had never actually heard about this brand before, but im so glad i do now!.

The advent calendar seemed to of been really good for it its value of money, as this product alone retails at £19 and its full size...result! Although being full size, it is a small tube, which some reviews have said they were disappointed with the price for the size it is, BUT a little really does a go a long way! you literally need a tiny amount! I've used mine f…

why professional over highstreet? (hair care)

As a hairdresser i get asked a lot about the best shampoo's you can buy in a high street store! and my answer to that? NONE.
I always advise my clients to go for professional shampoo. Most of the time the response we get is " but high street brands are a lot cheaper" and yes there is a reason for that...they are full of crap! i wont go into the science part but they have a lot of  harsh chemicals in them that do nothing good for your locks!. You are basically pouring plastic on your hair, alot of the cheaper brands have a lot of silicone's in them, which might lead you to think that its making your hair lovely and soft, but your just coating it and not actually, cleansing your hair ...so then it gets greasy and itchy quick?... i wonder why!

We do not recommend professional products to gain the money, we actually care about your hair!
they don't have the harsh chemicals in them that the cheaper brands have in. If you colour your hair they don't strip it out! …

happiness...with a journal

Happiness....everyone has their own view of what makes them happy, whether that's an object, a person or even something they have done/achieved that makes them happy .It could be the smallest of things, but how do you know if you are really happy?

well..i thought i was, then i realised that i wasn't so i decided to make some changes, on major one being my job that i had worked in for nearly 11 years.
so for 2017, i can truly say that I've never been happier! changing my job was the best thing i did! i never realised how unhappy i really was...and  i was unhappy for a long time.
now, I'm not one for change..in fact i hate it! but I've come to learn that change CAN be a good thing. and i now appreciate changes...abit more anyways!!
it was a massive thing for me to leave my job, i had known the place inside out for years and i knew my surroundings..and i got way to comfortable being in my little bubble that i thought i would always be in because i was too scared to ch…
