I might be a little late to the party considering winter has been here for a while! but better late than never and it is still winter!
in the colder months there are certain beauty products that are my saviours that i use every single day in the winter.
I think its important to really look after your skin throughout the year, but definitely in the winter with the harsh cold weather on your skin can make it pretty dry. So keeping my skin soft and well moisturised is most definitely a MUST - who wants dry skin?!
Body cream- the one brand that never fails me are the bath and body works Shea creams, they are super moisturising, they leave your skin so soft and they smell amazing! and the fragrance really lingers. my favourite part about these besides the gorgeous scents are the fact they aren't sticky! i love a bath at night time and there is nothing worse then getting into bed feeling all tacky after moisturising! they soak into your skin really quickly, so you don't get that tacky feel and i don't stick to my bed sheets. even though its winter, the current one I'm using is actually a summer scent! bourbon strawberry and vanilla! no other reason other than i just have a massive collection of them and just grab whatever i fancy using, and i fancied a summer scent! - why not?!
lip balm- i have soooo many lip balms, but the Cath kidston one is the one i have definitely reached for the most and its always in my bag! smells lovely and it does the job! so moisturising- and it tastes good too!
hand cream- my hands are in water alot with work, so its hard to keep up with moisturising my hands when they are in water again minutes later, but when I'm not working, i slather it on! best way for me is applying it once im in bed so it can really absorb into my hands. and it tends to work! - no dry hands here! the zoella wonder hand works a treat!
face cream- i use the clinique moisture surge, the consistency is almost gel like! and I'm the same with my face creams like i am with my body, i don't like the tacky, greasy feel so this one is perfect for me. It sinks in really quick and you can't feel it after so it doesn't make your face feel heavy but keeps it soft and moisturised.
Too faced sweet peach glow- now i couldn't do my staples without putting this in here! One thing about winter skin is that it can look a bit dull. but nothing what a shimmer blush and a highlight can't cure! we all want to look glowing in the winter and look revived so what better way to do it?! its smells like peaches which is just amazing, but it does what its meant to, gives your skin that glow!
what are your winter staples?
