Rimmel lasting concealer - its a no from me

I am always on the look out for new make up to try and as i needed to get a new concealer i thought i would go with a different one instead of going for my trusty collection lasting perfection concealer! And i will be honest with you, i was in a local shop of mine which didn't stock many brands so it was more of an 'emergency buy'. I went for the Rimmel lasting finish 25hr breathable concealer in the shade 100 fair.
when i first picked it up the main thing that got me was the cushioned applicator, i was very intrigued!
so this concealer says its long lasting, breathable with medium coverage. and with the cushioned applicator it allows to blend the concealer perfectly and touch up on the go.

Trying it out- i had to really squeeze on the tube for any product to come out, and once it did i applied it under my eyes, i found the consistency very watery and didn't find that it blended in nicely at all, it goes quite streaky and i wouldn't even say it was a medium coverage, its a very light coverage and someone who needs more of a medium/full coverage this didn't do the job! i could still see my circles just as much as if i hadn't put anything on.

25hrs? not sure why anyone would be wearing make up for 25hrs?! after a few hours of wear i found that it creased under my eyes even more and its not as easy to touch it up as it just smears.
its a 7ml tube and to be honest i thought it looked like there was a fair bit of product in the tube but in fact there is hardly any! i have to squeeze the tube until its flat for a tiny amount to come out so that is really disappointing. Its more expensive than the collection one and i don't think it would last no where near as long as the collection lasting perfection.
so all in all, i wouldn't buy this again, for me its not even good enough for an emergency. i think i will stick to my original saviour from now on :)

Bath and body works autumn collection

Can we just talk about bath and body works products?! i flippin' LOVE them!. They always bring out the best scents especially in autumn/winter. So it would of been rude of me not to try out some of the autumn creamy body wash range ;)

I'll be honest...its not my favourite packaging that they have brought out but putting that aside, they smell AMAZING!

For those who live in the uk (like me) and are not lucky enough to have any stores near to just go in and buy everything! (i wish i could!) we do have a few options...oh yes, you can get your hands on them, hooray!! you can order on the website and get them shipped over but you can pay a hefty customs charge :( and you cannot order everything from there to be shipped to the u.k. I use a uk facebook selling site, with people who work on cabin crew, who can take direct orders! or from lovely people that do make a big orders to be shipped! the people on the facebook site which is called bath and body works fans uk are amazing and i …

why professional over highstreet? (hair care)

As a hairdresser i get asked a lot about the best shampoo's you can buy in a high street store! and my answer to that? NONE.
I always advise my clients to go for professional shampoo. Most of the time the response we get is " but high street brands are a lot cheaper" and yes there is a reason for that...they are full of crap! i wont go into the science part but they have a lot of  harsh chemicals in them that do nothing good for your locks!. You are basically pouring plastic on your hair, alot of the cheaper brands have a lot of silicone's in them, which might lead you to think that its making your hair lovely and soft, but your just coating it and not actually, cleansing your hair then it gets greasy and itchy quick?... i wonder why!

We do not recommend professional products to gain the money, we actually care about your hair!
they don't have the harsh chemicals in them that the cheaper brands have in. If you colour your hair they don't strip it out! …

my winter staples

I might be a little late to the party considering winter has been here for a while! but better late than never and it is still winter!
in the colder months there are certain beauty products that are my saviours that i use every single day in the winter.
I think its important to really look after your skin throughout the year, but definitely in the winter with the harsh cold weather on your skin can make it pretty dry. So keeping my skin soft and well moisturised is most definitely a MUST - who wants dry skin?!

Body cream- the one brand that never fails me are the bath and body works Shea creams, they are super moisturising, they leave your skin so soft and they smell amazing! and the fragrance really lingers. my favourite part about these besides the gorgeous scents are the fact they aren't sticky! i love a bath at night time and there is nothing worse then getting into bed feeling all tacky after moisturising! they soak into your skin really quickly, so you don't get that tac…
